Colby Martin presents,
Not an Oxymoron
Why LGBTQ Affirming Christianity Makes Sense
In his new talk, pastor and author Colby Martin takes the audience on a journey of exploration to discover why it is that being a Christian and being affirming of LGBTQ people are not mutually exclusive endeavors.
Mixing
personal stories,
Biblical teaching,
psychological insights, and
creative imagination,
Not an Oxymoron leaves listeners trusting that their instincts to love all people just as they are align perfectly with God’s heart for creation.
When you consider that the Bible does not say what we’ve been told it says, and when you see the trajectory of who God is painted throughout Scripture, and when you add that with what it means to follow in the Way of Jesus…
…LGBTQ affirming Christianity
just makes sense.

Whereas a traditional talk or workshop on UnClobber dives deep into the clobber passages, Not an Oxymoron takes a few steps back and looks at the bigger picture. Through a combination of honest storytelling, insights from psychology, and analysis of Scripture, Colby demonstrates to the audience how it is that one of the logical conclusions to following in the Way of Jesus is that one would affirm the inherent worth and dignity of LGBTQ people.
